Lynch Carpet Inc. has consistently been Voted People’s Choice Winner for Best Floor Covering Store in Livingston County. Steve Lynch says, "We take great pride in this award because it comes from the people in the County, our customers." Lynch Carpet Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1974. Owned by Don, Mary and Steve Lynch, they have the right mix of style and vision.
Don started the business in Brighton, Michigan over 30 years ago with the simple promise to give customers a quality product at a fair price. Today, the same promise is what the company is built on. In the beginning, Don ran all facets of the business, from working with the customer and the decision making process, to measuring and even installing the floorcovering. Don still remains very involved in the day to day operations. He does most of the measuring and loves to work in the showroom. “Its great to deal with second and third generations of customers, they come to  us because their parents were happy”.
Mary has a reputation for being one of the friendliest and warmest people you’ll ever want to meet. She has a wealth of knowledge in decorating and flooring. She has been with the company since day one. Mary is also doing the bookkeeping for the office. “I love the interaction with our customers. They know our reputation for excellent quality and service."
Steve Lynch is the middle of Don and Mary’s three children. Like
his father, Steve is involved in every facet of the business. Steve pushes Lynch Carpet Inc. to remain on the cutting edge of all the newest and innovative flooring products in the market. He works with local builders, developers and businessmen and women. “Each member of the company brings something special," says Steve, "from the person greeting you at the door to the installer who completes the installation. I enjoy meeting with our customers during the installation to get feedback and make sure the process was everything they had thought it would be.”
In 2002 Lynch Carpet Inc. joined Carpet Plus / Color Tile. This Group gave them the buying power of over 500 stores but allowed them to keep their identity that they have worked for over 30 years to establish. Carpet Plus / Color Tile does the leg work in establishing the best products at the most competitive prices, as well as putting together marketing ideals. One of  these ideas is our Carpet Kiosk display. This display shows and defines different styles of carpeting. It helps to simplify the searching process by showing us what style of carpet you prefer. Also, different styles are color coded throughout the store. If your looking for a textured carpet, all the textured carpet boards will have texture and the color purple in the top corner.
Over the past 30 years the area has changed drastically and Lynch Carpet Inc. has changed right along with it. In 2000 the show room was expanded and updated. “We have a beautiful show room with latest trends in carpeting, hardwood, laminate, tile, and area rugs”, states Mary, "Come visit us." | |
